Well we did it! We’ve now visited, experienced, laughed, cried, laughed again, drank, sunbathed, ate, learned some Arabic, swam, danced, laughed some more, met fantastic people, celebrated, drank in the culture …. oh and gigged at one of the most amazing gigs we’ve ever done – in Bahrain.
What an amazing experience for all of us. All the hard work, red tape and setbacks beforehand were worth it.
Huge thanks to John, Murthy & Mike for all the hard work getting us there and for the absolutely first class, second-to-none hospitality throughout our whole stay. Thanks too to our sponsors KLM, the Ramada Palace Bahrain & Room 2 Rock. And a huge thank you to the staff and everyone else associated in putting on the party and our show. Without all of you, it couldn’t have been done.
We had so many wonderful experiences whilst in Bahrain, some eye-popping and unbelievable and it all feels so very surreal now we’re back in the west. But it was all good and a time in everyone in the band’s life who experienced it will remember for the rest of their lives.
I have added some photos and video from our time from which I hope you get a sense of how fantastic it all was (can only post the clean and legal ones unfortunately haha!).

Bahrain Experience
From ferraris to camels, dancing girls and money throwing sheiks, awesome Filipino band, arabic music, call to prayer at 5……10…….1pm bla bla bla, the coldest pool in the world, jamming session in the sauna, an abundance of food sent to us by a rich sheik, grape and apple flavoured hubbly bubbly, male bahrainy version of nanny mcphee, red light district, booze booze and more booze, personal drivers everywhere, treated like superstars, little britain in the sun, flower garlands and spinning pearls, marj rocking the twister nightclub, hilarious one liners, shouting abuse at the local football match, and to conclude it all with an excellent new year gig with 6 amazing people…….. I feel like I was there for ages!!! lol

We have already been asked back, the next time with the possibility of playing another venue or two as well as the one we played. We sincerely hope that the scheduling & dates will make this possible. Watch this space!
From Balloch to Bahrain – a bit of a jaunt but FAN-BLOODY-TASTIC!!!! Can’t wait to go back!
